The Longwood Gardens is another popular tourist attraction in Philadelphia.  The beautifully maintained ground has over 11,000 types of plants.  The area is classified into different parks like the Italian Water Garden, Aquatic display garden, and the Flower Garden Walk.  There are also 8 kinds of woodland habitat found here.  The conservatory contains exotic flowers and cacti from all over the world.  Christmas time is especially spectacular with the poinsettias in bloom, carillon concerts, and illuminated gardens.  Concerts are held here during this season along with firework displays and illuminated fountains.  The Meadow Gardens with its hiking trails and colorful fields of wildflowers allows you to understand the significance of conservation of nature.
